Oaklyn Hills' first annual Flamingo Friday Block Party on Friday, August 14, turned out around 80 neighbors and friends for more than 3 hours of fun!The kids threw footballs, rode bikes and jumped in the bouncer while adults enjoyed meeting new folks and chatting with friends. Everyone enjoyed the food, and we had plenty of it -- from grilled hotdogs, chili and deviled eggs to chips and dip, cookies, homemade cupcakes and brownies.
Thanks to everyone who participated and to those who went the extra mile to plan, set-up and clean-up the event. We look forward to more Flamingo Friday fun in the future and hope to make the second anual Block Party an even bigger hit.
For now, the flamingos have migrated... but they plan to make their return next summer. We hope you plan to return as well!
